The three R's of an exemplary digital citizen are: Reputation, Respect, and Responsibility.
Reputation: A person's reputation can be damaged by the comments and pictures they post to the Internet. When using the Internet a person needs to keep in mind that the Internet is permanent and even though they like the picture of them drunk on St. Patrick's Day because they look good in green, the picture might show up in a job interview for their dream career. When writing a comment a person should remember to communicate appropriately using proper tone (never use caps) and grammar. (Youth Spark by Microsoft)
Respect: Do not be a cyberbully. If you would not say the comment to a person's face, then don't post it for the whole wide web to view. Remember the golden rule of treating others the way you want to be treated. If you do not agree with a person then disagree politely and be courteous of others' opinions. Responsibility: Digital citizens are responsible to be safe on the Internet by not sharing personal information. Citizens are also responsible to credit the sources they use to gather information and be responsible in knowing which reputable sources to use for research. (With Power comes Responsibility)
